Can I take my suitcase on an aeroplane?
Since 6th November 2006, the IATA (International Air Transport Association) regulation has been in force, which stipulates that cabin luggage must not exceed the following dimensions: 56x45x25cm (these dimensions include wheels, handles, side pockets etc). This regulation came into force at the same time as the regulation concerning liquids (transparent bag, bottles with a maximum capacity of 100ml, maximum capacity per person: 1 litre).
*Important:in compliance with restrictions on aeroplane capacity or for commercial reasons, some airlines apply further restrictions on dimensions/luggage weight. RV Roncato is not liable for the application of other check-in restrictions by airline companies. Please check any airline restrictions before departure.
How do you pack a suitcase?
For increased stability and to avoid creasing clothes, always place the heaviest objects at the bottom of the suitcase.
Underwear, shoes, ties and other small objects should be placed in the pockets provided.
Fold jacket arms and do up the buttons.
Place trousers and skirts on the jacket with the strap facing the edge.
Fold trouser legs towards the centre of the suitcase.
Avoid rolling up leather belts.
Instead, place them along the sides of the suitcase.
Then fold the lower part of the jacket towards the centre of the suitcase, fasten the partition and close the suitcase.
How can I clean my suitcase?
To clean hard shell suitcases (polypropylene) or semi-hard shell suitcases (polycarbonate and ABS):remove any dust with a soft cloth and then clean with soap and water, using a soft brush. Important: never use solvents.
